By using any of our apps — see Games for our current lineup — or this website, 5857.ca, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don’t agree, please don’t use our products.
Who We Are
5857 Inc. is based in Ontario, Canada. We build games, music, and books meant to bring people together.
Using Our Apps
Our apps are provided for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, redistribute, or resell any part of our apps or their content, except as permitted by the platform (such as Apple’s App Store) you downloaded them from.
In-App Purchases
5857 Inc. offers a range of games with different purchase models — see Games for our current lineup. Some games are free to download and fully playable, with an optional one-time “Support 5857 Inc.” purchase; others include additional content that can be unlocked through an in-app purchase. In every case, purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and are subject to Apple’s own terms and refund policies. We don’t have the ability to process refunds directly — please contact Apple Support for purchase-related issues.
Intellectual Property
All game designs, artwork, music, writing, and branding across 5857 products are owned by 5857 Inc. unless otherwise noted. You may not use our name, logo, or original content without permission.
Children’s Use
None of our current apps are directed at children or require any personal information to play — see Games for our current lineup. If we release an app designed for younger players, these Terms will be updated with the specifics, and any such app will be intended to be used with the involvement of a parent or guardian. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle children’s information.
No Warranty
Our apps and website are provided “as is.” While we do our best to make sure everything works well, we can’t guarantee they’ll always be error-free, uninterrupted, or perfectly suited to your needs.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, 5857 Inc. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our apps or website.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected with a new effective date above. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada.
